MPQ7235 is a high-frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down, switch-mode LED driver with integrated power MOSFETs. It offers a very compact solution to achieve 1.5A of continuous output current (ILED) and 3A of peak LED current (IPEAK), with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input supply range. The MPQ7235 also offers synchronous mode operation to achieve high efficiency. It supports low pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming frequencies at small dimming duty cycles. The device can support PWM dimming frequencies as low as 10Hz to adjust infrared radiation (IR) in LED driver applications. It is compatible with 30fps, 60fps and 120fps dimming. Current-mode operation provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. MPQ7235 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components. Applications include infrared (IR) LED drivers for driver, monitoring systems (DMS), IR illumination for cameras and surveillance systems.
