The MAX9120EXK+T is a nanopower, beyond the rails comparator without reference in 5 pin SC-70 package. This device operates down to 1.6V and requires only 350nA of supply current. These features make the MAX9120 comparator ideal for all 2 cell battery monitoring/management applications. The unique design of output stage limits supply current surges while switching, virtually eliminating the supply glitches typical of many other comparators. This design also minimizes overall power consumption under dynamic conditions. The MAX9120 has open-drain output stage that makes it suitable for mixed voltage system design. It is used in ultra low power systems, threshold detectors/discriminators, sensing at ground or supply line, telemetry and remote systems.
- Supply voltage range from 1.6V to 5.5V at TA = +25°C
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Input voltage range extends 200mV beyond the rails
- Crowbar current free switching
- Internal hysteresis for clean switching
- No phase reversal for overdriven inputs
- Input offset voltage of 1mV and input bias current of 0.15nA at TA = +25°C
- CMRR of 0.5mV/V and PSRR of 0.1mV/V (VCC = 1.6V to 5.5V, TA = +25°C)
- High to low propagation delay of 16μs at VCC = 1.6V and 14μs at VCC = 5V
- Low to high propagation delay of 16μs at VCC = 1.6V and 45μs at VCC = 5V
