AP2205-33W5-7 is a positive voltage regulator IC fabricated by a high-voltage EPNP process. It has various features such as a wide input voltage range, high accuracy, high ripple rejection, low dropout voltage, low noise, current limit, and ultra-low quiescent current, which make it ideal for use in various USB and portable devices. The IC consists of a voltage reference, an error amplifier, a resistor network for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit for current protection, a chip enable circuit, a low power shutdown mode for extended battery life, overcurrent protection, overtemperature protection, as well as reverse current protection. Applications include battery-powered equipment, laptops, palmtops, notebook computers, portable information appliances, and industrial/automotive applications.
- Wide input voltage range from 2.3V to 24V
- Low ground current, high output voltage accuracy
- Compatible with low ESR ceramic capacitor, excellent line/load regulation, thermal shutdown function
- Maximum output current is 250mA typ at VIN-VOUT = 1V, VOUT = 98% x VOUT
- Standby current is 0.01µA typ at VIN = VOUT+1V, VEN in OFF mode
- Power supply rejection ratio is 60dB typ at f = 100Hz, ripple 0.5VP-P, VIN = VOUT+1V
- Output voltage temperature coefficient is ±100ppm/°C at IOUT = 100µA, -40°C ≤ TJ ≤ +125°C
