The MAX4658ESA+ is a high-current, SPST, CMOS analogue switch in 8 pin NSOIC package. This is a medium-voltage CMOS analogue switch with low on-resistance of 10 ohm (max), specifically designed to handle large switch currents. With a switch capability of up to 300mA peak current, 150mA continuous current and it can switch loads as low as 25ohm. It can replace reed relays with a million times the speed and virtually unlimited number of lifetime cycles. Normal power consumption is only 3mW, whether the switch is on or off. This IC is TTL/CMOS compatible and will switch any voltage within its power supply range. This device is used in relay replacement, test equipment, communication systems, xDSL modems, PBX, PABX systems, PC multimedia boards and redundant/backup systems.
- Supply voltage range is 9V to 40V, ±4.5V to ±20V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Normally open (NO) switch, maximum on-resistance is 22ohm at TA = +25°C (single supply)
- High continuous current of 150mA
- High peak current handling of 300mA
- VL (logic supply) not required
- RON flatness over specified signal range is 1ohm (dual supply)
- Rail to rail signal handling
- Pin compatible with DG417, DG418
- Charge injection is 23pC, -3dB bandwidth is 210MHz at TA=+25°C (dual supply)
