MAX17223ELT+T is an ultra-low quiescent current boost (step-up) DC-DC converter. True shutdown disconnects the output from the input with no forward or reverse current. It offers ultra-low quiescent current, small total solution size, and high efficiency throughout the entire load range. It is ideal for battery applications where long battery life is a must. Applications include optical heart-rate monitoring (OHRM) LED drivers, supercapacitor backup for RTC/alarm buzzers, primary-cell portable systems, tiny, low-power IoT sensors, and secondary-cell portable systems. wearable devices, battery-powered medical equipment, low-power wireless communication products.
- Quiescent supply current into OUT is 300nA typical at (EN = VIN, not switching, RSEL OPEN)
- 0.5A input peak current limit, true shutdown
- Minimum input voltage is 400mV typical at (runs from output after startup, IOUT = 1mA)
- Input voltage range from 0.95 to 5.5V, minimum startup input voltage is 0.88V typical
- Shutdown current into IN is 0.1nA typical at (RL= 3Kohm, VOUT = VEN = 0V, TA = 25°C)
- N-channel on-resistance is 62mohm typical at (VOUT = 3.3V, VIN = VEN = 1.5V, VOUT = 3V)
- Enable input leakage is 0.1nA typical at (VIN = VEN = 1.5V, VOUT = 3V)
- P-channel on-resistance is 150mohm typ at (VOUT = 3.3V, VIN = VEN = 1.5V, VOUT = 3V)
- Inductor peak current limit is 0.5A typical at (VIN = VEN = 1.5V, VOUT = 3V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 6-pin μDFN package
