MAX14936AAWE+ is a four-channel, 5KVRMS digital isolator. It offers all three possible unidirectional channel configurations to accommodate any four-channel design, including SPI, RS-232, RS-485, and large digital IO modules. It features independent 1.71V to 5.5V supplies on each side of the isolator also make the devices suitable for use as level translators. It is approved by UL according to UL1577, cUL according to CSA bulletin 5A, VDE 0884-11 basic insulation. It is used in applications such as fieldbus communications for industrial automation, isolated SPI, RS-232, RS-485/RS-422, general multichannel isolation applications, battery management, medical systems.
- Withstands 5KVRMS for 60s (VISO), continuously withstands 848VRMS (VIOWM)
- 1200VP repetitive peak voltage (VIORM), withstands ±10kV surge per IEC 61000-4-5
- VDDA operating supply voltage range from 1.71V to 5.5V
- Supply current is 5.2mA typical at (500KHz square wave, VDDA = 5V)
- Input capacitance is 2pF typical at (VDDA - VGNDA = +1.71V to +5.5V)
- Common-mode transient immunity is 25kV/µs typical at (VDDA - VGNDA = +1.71V to +5.5V)
- Propagation delay is 38.2ns typical at (VDDA - VGNDA = +1.71V to +5.5V)
- Pulse-width distortion is 0.4ns typical at (4.5V ≤ VDDA, VDDB ≤ 5.5V)
- 2/2 channel configuration, 1Mbps data rate, default high output
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 16-pin wide SOIC package
