MAX14916AFM+ is a compact industrial octal 1A/quad 2A high-side switch with diagnostics. It has eight high-side switches specified to deliver up to 1.1A (min) continuous current per channel. The two adjacent channels can be paralleled to form four 2.4A high-side switches. The high-side switches have an on-resistance of 250mohm (max) at 125°C ambient temperature. The SPI interface provides flexibility for global and per-channel configuration and diagnostic, including under-voltage detection, open wire/load detection, overload and current limiting reporting, thermal conditions reporting, and more. Integrated line-to-ground and line-to-line surge protection only requires a TVS on VDD. Integrated surge protection works for quad and octal configurations. Typical applications are industrial digital outputs, PLC systems.
