The DS1511W+ is a Y2K compliant watchdog real time clock (RTC) in 28 pin EDIP package. It is a low power clock/date device with a programmable day of week/date alarm and it has 3.3V operation. This full function, year 2000 compliant real time clock/calendar contains RTC alarm, watchdog timer, precision power-on reset, battery monitors, 256byte battery backed NV SRAM and 32.768KHz output. It is a standalone encapsulated DIP module with embedded battery and crystal. User access to all registers within the DS1511 is accomplished with bytewide interface. The RTC registers includes BCD coded century, year, month, date, day, hours, minutes and seconds with automatic leap year compensation valid up to the year 2100 (corrections for day of month and leap year are made automatically). Power control circuitry supports system power-on from date/day/time alarm or key closure/modem detect signal. The DS1511 is used in remote systems, battery backed systems, telecom switches and office equipments.
