AD7988-5CCPZ-RL7 is a 16bit lower power PulSAR ADC. It offers a 500kSPS throughput. It is a low-power, 16bit sampling ADC with a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, they sample an analogue input, IN+, between 0V to VREF with respect to a ground sense, IN−. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set independently of the supply voltage, VDD. The SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus using the SDI input. It is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, or 5V logic using the separate supply, VIO. It is used in applications such as automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, medical instruments, and machine automation.

- Signal-to-noise ratio is 91.5dB typical at (fIN = 10KHz, VREF = 5V)
- Total harmonic distortion is -114dB typical at (fIN = 10KHz, VDD = 2.5V, VIO = 1.71V to 5.5V)
- Signal-to-(noise + distortion) is 91dB typical at (fIN = 10KHz, VREF = 5V)
- Proprietary SPI-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE™-/DSP-compatible serial interface
- Conversion rate is 500kSPS maximum at (VDD = 2.5V, VIO = 1.71V to 5.5V, VREF = 5V)
- Transition noise is 0.6LSB typical at (VDD = 2.5V, VIO = 1.71V to 5.5V, VREF = 5V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 10-lead LFCSP package
