SLB (small Li-Ion rechargeable batteries) batteries are small cylindrical Li-Ion rechargeable batteries which utilizes lithium titanate (LTO) for the negative electrodes achieving high power density as well as high energy density. This technology allows the development of maintenance-free devices with key features such as very high-rate rapid charge/discharge performance of up to 20C, extremely low possibility of explosion or ignition and therefore suitable for usages under harsh conditions, increased cycle life of more than 25,000 charge/discharge cycles at 10C rate and enhanced charging performance at low operation temperature of down to -30°C. Applications include energy harvesting & environmental sensors, IoT, I-IoT, auxiliary power supply, wearables as well as other maintenance-free environments.
