Product Overview
The MAX4890ETJ+T is a 10/100/1000 base-T Ethernet LAN switch in 32 pin TQFN package. This high speed analogue switch meets the needs of 10/100/1000 Base-T applications. It switches the signals from two interface transformers and connect signals to a single 10/100/1000 base-T Ethernet PHY, simplifying docking station design and reducing manufacturing costs. It can also route signals from a common interface transformer to two different boards in board redundancy applications. Switch provides an extremely low capacitance and on-resistance to meet Ethernet insertion and return-loss specifications. It is used in notebooks and docking stations, servers and routers with Ethernet interfaces, board level redundancy protection, SONET/SDH signal routing, T3/E3 redundancy protection and video switching.
- Single +3V to +3.6V power supply voltage, crosstalk of -45dB at 1MHz <lt/> f <lt/> 30MHz
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Low on-resistance (RON) of 4ohm (typ) and 5.5ohm (max) at TA = +25°C
- Ultra low on-capacitance of 6.5pF (typ), insertion loss of 0.6dB (RL = 100 ohm, 1MHz <lt/> f <lt/> 100MHz)
- Low <lt/> 200ps bit to bit skew, 0.01ohm on-resistance flatness (V+ = 3V, IA_ = -40mA, VA_ = 1.5V, 2.7V)
- 1GHz -3dB bandwidth
- Optimized pin-out for easy transformer and PHY interface
- Low 450µA (max) quiescent current
- Bidirectional 8 to 16 multiplexer/demultiplexer
- 1.5ohm maximum on-resistance match between channels at TA = +25°C
